That’s all there is to it! The account is renamed, and you’ll see that reflected in the Manage other accounts section as well as the login screen. Now put in the new name you want to give the account and click the Change Name button. In this case, you want to select the first choice - Change the account name. In the next section, you have various options you can use to manage the account. Next, choose the user account you want to rename. That opens up the User Accounts section in the classic Control Panel, and from there, select Manage another account. Now scroll down and click on the User Accounts option. Then change the “View by” dropdown to large or small icons if it isn’t selected already.

Hit the Windows key on your keyboard and type: control panel and select the classic Control Panel app from the list of results at the top. Note: You will need to have an administrator account on the PC to manage local user accounts.
